The Australian poet Lindsay Gordon had a strong following in Ballarat half a century ago.
Significance
The cottage where Gordon lived was once the sample room at Craig's Hotel and by renovating and moving it to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, it was hoped that it would become a tourist attraction.
