Mrs Ida Buckley wrote to the Mayor of Ballarat concerning a plaque in memory of Adam Lindsay Gordon, where it should be positioned within Craig's Hotel. Mrs Buckley requests copies of the Courier when there is an account of the unveiling of the plaque.
Significance
The Adam Lindsay Plaque Is part of the Gordon history in Ballarat, considered important in 1934. It is interesting to note that Mrs Ida Buckley was married to the son of the highly respected Buckley&Nunn Department store, an important part of the Melbourne retail scene until well into the twentieth century.
