Object was presented to Kerry Cox, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ballarat, while on an overseas trip. No information about the object was provided but search for it on-line showed similar items known as "bull floggers". This maybe an ornamental representation of this type of object.
Hand crafted leather and metal object with a deer's foot attached to the handle. Search of object shows similar items known as "bull floggers".
