Summary

The Second Australian Jewish Almanac was published in Melbourne in 1942 to mark the 30 Year Jubilee of the Kadimah. Edited by a collective of Hertz Bergner, Pinchas Goldhar, Bonem Warshawski, Hirsch Munz it provides a unique survey of the views and concerns of Jewish immigrants in Australia. The Almanac contains short fiction and non-fiction pieces including histories of Jewish communities in Australia, political commentary and poetry. Digitisation of the Almanacs was funded by Martin Munz in honour of his parents Hirsch & Estera Munz.
