Historical information

There are Horse Chestnut Trees in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens and Gregory Street, Wendouree, as well as other parts of Ballarat.

Significance

This large handsome deciduous tree is not only part of Ballarat's history but often found in parks and streets in temperate parts of the world.
