Details are given of the establishment of the Avenue of Honour and the Arch of Victory, the opening of these by H.R.H. Prince of Wales 2/6/1920 and the making of a pair of yellow silk pyjamas, by the Lucas girls for the Prince, latterly, Duke of Windsor.
Significance
The Arch of Victory and Avenue of Honour are important landmarks in Ballarat of which citizens of Ballarat are justly proud.
