Historical information

The photograph was taken when the students from Bulla and Mickleham Primary Schools combined to attend a camp at Beechworth in 1988. During that time the children were engaged in a number of different outdoor activities as a component of their outdoor education. Recognising some of the native birds of the area was one of their activities where the children experiences the birds actually landing on them.

Significance

The varied activities that the children engaged in at the school camp helped to give them a better appreciation and understanding of the natural environment.
