Badge was given to mothers who had children serving on active duty in WW2. The number of stars on the bar signified the number of children serving. The number on back allowed traceability.

Circular black badge with bar hanging off. Bottom with one star. Pin on back. Small crown on top of badge.

Engraved "To the Women of Australia" and on back A.219253 and issued to Commonwealth Government.
