Due to the number of Swiss/Italians playing in this team, and their love of Bulboar sausage they were known as the garlic munchers.

The footballery standing 5th from the left is Jack O'Sullivan. The Hepburn Football Ground is named after Jack Sullivan's brother - The Laurie Sullivan Reserve.
