Historical information

This wagga style blanket was made by May Shortte, the grandmother of Emily McNeight.

The main parts of the wagga came from a sister in law, Dot, who worked at Solomons Department Store (now Market Square Shopping Centre).

The grey border pieces came from another sister in law, Gwen, who worked at Godfrey Hirst, these pieces were called 'mill ends'.

Pieces of fabric from the mill and the department strore were passed around to everyone in the family.
