People on the home front provided art work on items to represent the era of the war and to show their patriotism. This item was originally found in an opportunity shop so its 'true date and origin is unknown.

Physical description

White cotton Doiley with year "1914"and Union Jack Flag embroidered into it. Edged with 94 small beads that are alternatively blue, red and white, (Union Jack colours). Beads about 4 mm in diameter and are threaded though loops on the four edges of Doiley.
