This slide projector, which was purchased new in 1949, could be used on mains power or a car battery. It was used by Deaconess Hilda Fisher (Graham) as she travelled to promote the work of the Methodist Home Mission in Victoria and the inland of Australia.
Tri-purpose SVE projector in its carry box. Picturol Model DD.115 volts, 150 Watts. Serial No. 12710. Includes two two inch semi-automatic slide changers, one in its original box; four six volt globes and electrical leads for connection to a car battery. Five pieces in all.

Catherine Ritchie House was opened on 19th December 1991 at 10 Glamis street, Mount Martha for the use of Presbyterian Deaconesses. Catherine Ritchie was the Principal of Rolland House, the Presbyterian Deaconess and Missionary Training Institute at 97 Rathdown street, South Melbourne. Catherine Ritchie was Principal at Rolland House from 1945 - 1968. Deaconess Blanche Boyd was the Principal of the Presbyterian Deaconess and Missionary Training College from 1914 to 1923, she died in 1944. Deaconess Greve was known as both Winnie and Minnie. She died in Adelaide in 1944.

Grace Winifred Faichney, 1909 - 1978, was the wife of the Very Rev Norman Faichney (1910—1998), Presbyterian and Uniting Church minister. The Rev Faichney was minister of Glen Iris Presbyterian Church from 1960 until his retirement in 1979.

The foundation stone of the New Wesleyan Church, Were Street, Brighton, Victoria was laid by Mrs W P Wells, the wife of the Superintendent of the Brighton Circuit and President of the Victorian Wesleyan Conference in 1887. The foundation stone was temporarily removed in the late 1930s and the 1937 publication "Were Street Jubilee" details the "proposed Jubilee Church". The same trowel was used when the stone was re-laid in 1955 at the beginning of the construction on the new church.
