Historical information
The older students were attending a school camp at Hanging Rock in the Macedon Ranges area in 1995 and one of the activities the children were introduced to was rock climbing as the formation offers many sites for this activity.
Significance
Hanging Rock offers a variety of pursuits for people. It is of historical and geological interest as well as a site with a lot of natural history.
