The Australian Army bugle is a brass musical instrument used primarily for Military Purposes including signaling, commands, ceremonies and other official functions. They are no longer used in battle but still used as part of tradition.

Physical description

Brown/gold coloured bugle. Small hook at top so as to be able to attach it. Mouthpiece comes loose and inserted into the air pipe. Bugle is in the form of a mouthpiece inserted into a simple hollow tube of metal that circles twice before coming out to form into a widening tunnel.

Inscriptions & markings

Mouthpiece has "Vincent Back Corp - 2 3/4c" engraved.
