Children's party invitations were purchased, filled in with date, time etc and had a torn off section to be returned by the recipient with confirmation of attendance.

Significance

Mt Beauty was a construction town built in the late 1940s. These cards would have been used to invite friends to birthday parties as was the tradition at the time.

Physical description

Small cardboard party invitations with coloured front, folded in two, and inside on the left the invitation details and on the right the acceptance both to be filled in. 1950s style I think.
