Physical description
Photograph of people in turn-of-century clothing gathered by side of the Portland harbour. In foreground is a man, woman and a buggy with horses. There are many people at side of water, gathered around a railway track which has 2 rail carriages visible on it. Over the track are flags and a banner. People are walking along the pier towards a berthed steam ship. On left is a stewards pass, and at lower centre is ribbon (and plaque on gold cardboard).
