Physical description
The painting is a portrait of Queen Victoria depicting her torso and head. She looks to her right and is shown in an almost profile view. Dressed in black with a white collar, she wears a blue and white band in her hair. She wears a small gold earring, black choker with gold locket and a brooch with a man's portrait. The work has a gilded frame with some decoration and exposed canvas.
