Physical description

The painting depicts a large body of water surrounded by hills. The body of water extends from the front right corner through to the centre of the work. Predominately depicted in shades of brown, the body of water has a white centre with three birds (swans) sitting on the surface. In the foreground to the left of the water is a riverbank with a large brown tree. The background consists of a large blue/grey hillside and brown cloudless sky. The work has a gilded ornate frame with a gold mount and exposed canvas.
