Physical description

Scene of a man herding cattle and sheep down a country lane.
To the left is a wooden pole fence and trees edging the road. On right, a path curves up and behind bushes. A man in a red coat is walking at the end of this path with his back to the viewer.
In mid-ground on right is a white, thatched roof building and a church is evident behind it. In background are mountains, painted in rose and violet. Clouds sweep across the sky and mist fills the valley in front of the mountains.
Framed in ornate gold-painted frame.
