Collected by National Serviceman Pte D J Kerslake from the site of an ambush initiated by 1 RAR in 1968.
This is part of a collection that was donated by Private Daryl John Kerslake (3792440) who was a National Serviceman with the Australian Army with the Royal Australian Infantry Corps. He served in Vietnam with 1 Australian Reinforcement Unit from 22 Jun 68 to 30 Jun 68 and 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment from 1 Jul 68 to 28 Feb 69.
Physical description
Olive green plastic with coloured filters stored in handle. The torch is modified in that the front red plastic filter has a star shape cut out of it to identify it as Viet Cong for night identification.
