Members of Currie Family stand in front of Puffing Billy. A middle aged man stands on left. He is wearing a light-coloured three-piece suit and no hat. Next is a woman in a dark coat and wide-brimmed hat. Beside her is a taller woman in a coat with three large buttons at the waist and it is closed all the way to her neck. She is wearing a mid-dark hat. On the right of the group is an older woman in a coat over a light-coloured dress. Her hat has a decoration at the front. She is wearing glasses and T-bar shoes. In front of her adults are two boys, both in shorts. The taller boy is wearing a double-breasted jacket and has a shoulderbag strap across his. The shorter boy is wearing a jumper. People are leaning out of the train and also dangling their legs out.
Township of Belgrave from Rose Series P. 2952. Photograph taken from the low side looking towards Mount Dickie and the Terrys Avenue intersection. A group is walking past the tea rooms, as a man stands near the top of the stairs to the road. A young boy stands at the bottom. People are walking along the road. A horse and cart and a car can be seen.
Puffing Billy seen crossing the wooden trestle bridge. The down train is heading towards Gembrook as it billows smoke from its chimney. Trees surround the area.
Puffing Billy rounding a corner surrounded by grass and trees. Possibly near the bridge at Upper Ferntree Gully.
Cathy and Finlay Currie (Allan's parents). Mrs Currie is wearing a dark dress with a deep V-shaped patterned insert which extends from neckline to waist and appears to have looped edging. Her dark, wide-brimmed hat is trimmed with flowers. She holds a dark clutch bag and has dark shoes. There is an elaborate corsage pinned to her dress. Mr Currie is in a 3-piece suit of medium light shade, and a tall hat. Another woman can be seen behind them. They are outside a church and are probably at a wedding.
Finlay Currie and dog at tent. Finlay appears to be in his 20s. He is wearing a three piece suit with high collared shirt. The tent has wooden logs for support and short planks at ground height. There appears to be a bed inside. The tent sides appears to be partially netting. A tiled roof house is in the background. The sleeping tent may have been erected for its health-giving benefits.
Horse, rider and cow at a creek (possibly Monbulk Creek). Spindly trees edge the track. The animals are drinking from the creek.
Finlay Currie is seated on a wooden garden bench set beside a rock-edged path up to Belgrave House. He is wearing a hat, an open-necked shirt, waistcoat and trousers, and has his legs crossed. Another man stands further up the path, posed with his right foot on the rock edging. The dog sits at his feet.
Belgrave House. Several people can be seen sitting or standing on the L-shaped front verandah. House overlooks a hill. Trees are in the background.
Belgrave House as seen from the opposite hillside. Trees surround the hill the house is on.
Photo taken from the Menzies Creek railway station. St. Cuthberts Church is seen in the distance with a dirt road winding past and up hills with trees. In the foreground there are flower bushes and other shrubs.
View of Aura (Menzies Creek) from the railway line to Church Rd. Four houses can be seen on the low side of Church Rd.
Photograph of Allan Currie and three women at Belgrave Reservoir. They are all sitting on a fallen tree, with Allan sitting above the creek.
