Very old. Made of wood possibly beech wood.
Used by carpenters and/or cabinet makers living in the Kiewa Valley.
Wooden scribe - marking tool. A marking gauge is a measuring tool used in woodworking projects. It is ideal for marking out lines or scribing on various surfaces before sawing, chiseling, or cutting. Most models have a radius bottom edge ideal for sliding along the wood being marked, making it an easy tool to use.
