Maroondah City Council has admitted ratepayers will effectively subsidise 1002 properties within the municipality paying differential rates. But a Maroondah City Council spokesman said the amount was so small it was not worth worrying about . Corporate Services Manager, Paul Roche, said it would cost ratepayers $2.40 each to cushion the properties which are paying differential rates after being included in Maroondah during council amalgamations.
