These 18 photographs were taken at an Army Survey Regiment Open Day at Fortuna Villa, Bendigo on the 24th of February 1990. This occasion was one of several events held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Australian Survey Corps. Although historical tours of Fortuna occurred on a regular basis, this was the first technical open day since 1972. The Royal Australian Survey Corps recognised that an Open Day was the best way for the local community in Bendigo to gain an insight into the unit’s important role as Defence’s map production agency, its technical equipment, and its economic importance to Bendigo. It also gave them an opportunity to tour through historic Fortuna Villa. This occasion is covered in more detail in page 143 of Valerie Lovejoy’s book 'Mapmakers of Fortuna – A history of the Army Survey Regiment’ ISBN: 0-646-42120-4. Gold Trophy cup with two handles mounted on a round black plastic base. On base is the emblem of the Royal Victorian Regiment. Also around base of stand are 9 silver shields with past winners.

Trophy engraved "subject two promotion course 2 RVR Best Student." Also engraved 9 previous winners on base.

Trophy established to recognise winners of shooting trophy of unidentified unit but most likely 8/7th Battalion, Royal Victorian Regiment.

Brown wooden stained trophy. Mounted on top of gold coloured tin lid and mounted on lid 2 metal rifles about 10 cm high leaning against a metal plate. With the name of trophy engraved. On front is two metal plates. First plate engraved with 6 past winners and second plate along bottom mostly empty with just one past winner.

Title engraved; "Somme Barracks Rifle Shooting Trophy". Also engraved 7 past winners.

Gold coloured metal medallion. Obverse side features an Australian Coat of Arms in the middle. Above the Coat of Arms are two clasped hands. Encircling the Coat of Arms are two rifles and a floral chain. A small ring is attached at the top to hold a chain. Recipients' details are engraved on the back. Hallmark stamped on bottom of back.

Engraved on reverse side: "Presented by the Shire of East Loddon to R.H. Baron in grateful appreciation of service rendered in A.I.F. in the Great War." Stamped on reverse side at bottom "Hallmark Symbols".

A compilation of articles, stories, poetry and illustrations written by men of the ANZACS in Gallipoli. In Nov 1915 a committee was established to produce the publication with cash prizes offered after evacuation correspondents, Charles Bean and Arthur Bazely edited the contributions.

160 page soft cover book, brown in colour held by two large staples. Several front pages and one back page loose. Contents cover pictures, stories, poems and other writings set in the ANZAC Campaign.
