Historical information
Polish scientist explorer Dr. Lhotsky explored the Australian Alps south of Mt Kosciusko (not named at that date)as far as McKillops Bridge (unnamed then) between 1834 and 1839. His claims were largely ignored he being labelled imposter and humbug but recent research indicates his rightful place amongst Victorias early explorers
