Between 1946 and 1973 Sievers carried out photographic work for leading architectural firms such as Boyd, Grounds and Romberg, Bates, Smart and McCutcheon, Yuncken, Freeman and Simpson, Buchan, Laird and Buchan, Hassell and McConnell, and Leith and Bartlett. Throughout the 1960s he photographed buildings and students at the Peninsula School through his work with architects Bates, Smart and McCutcheon.
