Norman William Penrose (1903–1976) was an Australian painter and art teacher renowned for his depictions of regional Victorian landscapes and everyday scenes, particularly around Bendigo where he spent most of his life
Physical description
Artwork. Norman Penrose collection: 2 border paintings. One has black, red and yellow stripes at the top. A spear shaped design with a red spot in the centre. Yellow, green, red and blue squares separated by two black and a white strip and black and yellow stripes at the bottom. The second one has red, white and black stripes at the top. A black, red and green geometric design in the centre and a black stripe at the bottom. The background is unpainted.
