Part of the Cooper Collection.
This patch for 2/23 Australian Infantry Battalion was created in 1942 replacing an earlier patch adopted from the First World War. The design is a reference to the siege of Tobruk and was chosen to recognise the bravery that the soldiers displayed during the siege.
