The photographs are from his personal album, and are mainly official photographs widely available among the services. The photographs are from Australian , British and American sources.
This set coincides with the Hobart's service around the time of the Battle of the Coral Sea, and her involvement in the Solomons and Guadalcanal landings.
Whilst not taken personally, these photographs do capture some of the events Holley and his Hobart crewmates would have experienced and witnessed.
