Historical information
The photograph was taken when an exhibition was mounted in the former George Evans Museum in Sunbury. The Sunbury & District Heritage Association researched the history of the Sunbury vineyards and mounted the display which ran from August 1996 to January 1997. The photograph is one of 18 images that were taken of the display that featured the wineries that were established in Sunbury in the nineteenth century and the early vignerons.
Significance
The wine producing industry was one of the first agricultural pursuits that European settlers established in Sunbury.
