This garbage bin originally belonged to the Dept of Defence Airforce Training Centre at Benalla, and after the end of World War 2, it became property of the Department of Immigration's Benalla Migrant Camp. Many of these bins were placed around the migrant accomodation huts and they are visible on photos of the camp.
