Summary
History of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. In 1863 Dr Andrew Sexton Gray, started an institution for those suffering diseases of the eye and ear. Increased demand led to the formation of a charitable committee in 1866, and the establishment of Victoria's third public hospital. Several changes of location until the opening of the first building on the current site in 1871
