Mannequins such as this were a common decorative item in the mid 19th to early 20th century. They were purely ornamental and were not generally used as a dressmaking accessory.
This item is representative of a range of decorative items displayed in homes from the mid 19th to early 20th century and was donated by a Wodonga resident.
