On first page is a printed black and white donation sticker: black Maltese cross in circle, "This book was donated to Alfred Archival Association Nursing Division by 'AHNL (handwritten in ink) Also previous catalogue number handwritten in ink. Dust jacket has orange toned front cover with historic images (Melbourne Hospital laundry [ca.1917] and a theatre nurse), a black and white photo of entrance to hospital, Lonsdale St site and a coloured photo of hospital at current site {ca.1997]. Title (white and brown ink) and author's name (white ink) also printed on front. Spine has brown background with title (orange and white ink), authors surname (white ink) and publishers mark printed on it. Back cover has cream background with orange toned illustration of an operating theatre [ca. 1940's] and publisher's mark and name
