Part of the Coates Family Collection. Refer 9684.4 Box 274. This refers to "Tom Coates" and a telegram advising that he is Missing in Action in June 1941.

Physical description

1. Small white envelope marked in blue "Telegram" and stamp on front acknowledging personal delivery.
2. Telegram on brown paper with a date stamp and message in blue, giving addressee and address and the fact that Tom Coates was missing. Note folded in four.

Inscriptions & markings

1. Stamped "Postal acknowledgement Delivery Personal, Mr. J. Coates, 45 Phillipson St. Albert Park. In pencil, "114 Richardson".
2. Date stamp 29 JE 41 at Melb. Message sent on behalf Minister for the Army.
