This is a report prepared by the Director of the Royal Australian Survey Corps Brigadier L Fitzgerald OBE, FIS Aust for presentation at the Institution of Surveyors, Australia, 6th Survey Conference held in Adelaide in March 1962. This document mentions the beginning of mapping in 1907 in the Australian Intelligence Corps and how the Survey Corps was formed in 1915. The story continues until 1962.
