Historical information

Beryl Mair grew up in Barton Street, Surrey Hills and worked as a milliner. Her parents were Lily Vipond Deakin and David Miller Mair. She married Ernest Lance Young in 1937. They made their home in York Street, Surrey Hills.
This is part of a large collection of photos and items associated with the Deakin, Mair and Young families donated by Laurie Newton, Beryl's daughter.
