This tin cannister was probably made in the 1930s and demonstrates the popularity of Disney characters in Australia during that decade. The manufacturer of the tin canister may have been Wilson Bros. Pty Ltd. That company went on to become Willow, a famous Australian metalware manufacturer.

Physical description

Illustrated oval canister or biscuit tin with a dark coloured lid. It features a coloured depiction of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse riding in a car with a "Just Married" sign hanging from the rear of the car. Mickey drives the car. A variety of animal singers and instrument players are sending them off on their way in a jovial way. A kangaroo as part of the musical ensemble.
