Historical information

This perfume bottle is from Masonic Lodge 618, based in Willliamstown. Freemasonry in Williamstown dates back to 1854 with the formation of the town's first lodge.The historic Masonic hall on Electra Street had its memorial stone laid in August 1890 and was opened in 1891. Lodge number 618 under the Victorian constitution was historically the Victory Commemoration Lodge (founded in 1947), which eventually returned its warrant in 1995. Lodges around this time often were named to ackonwledge the war.
