Photograph, Houses in York and Clyde Streets, Linton, c.1943

Historical information

The photograph appears to have been taken from the rear of what was then the Grenville Shire Offices. It shows a number of houses, including houses owned by Mrs Bobby Nicol and the Ching family (in York Street, on opposite sides of Clyde Street), and a house owned at that time by the Forestry Commission (on the corner of Clyde and Adair Streets). A glimpse of the Linton State School and the Court House/police station can be seen in the background.
