Historical information
The RSPCA Tail-Wagger's Club was founded in 1930 by George Sutton and seems to have ceased in the 1960s. It was formed as a fundraising activity for the RSPCA and to assist in identifying lost dogs and pre-dated the English organisation of the same name by two years. Members were issued with brass tokens attached to the dog's collar.
Significance
An important innovation for identifying lost pets in the days before micro-chips and also a pioneering effort pre-dating the English organisation of the same name.
