Dr Vanessa Beavis was the ANZCA President from 2020-2022, during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is hence also known as the "COVID President" or "Wartime President". The mask on the table next to her reflects this. The pounamu around her neck represents the New Zealand/Aotearoa part of ANZCA.
