"Three brothers perish. The blow of losing our three sons in one battle is terrible/ and we are heartbroken/ Fanny Seabrook, letter 27 November 1917".
"On 20 September 1917 all three sons of Fanny/ and William Seabrook, serving in the 17th Battalion, AIF,/ became casualties in the Battle of Menin Road in/ Belgium. Theo and George were together when a bursting shell killed them. The youngest brother, William, died the following day."
