Historical information

Thomas Samuel Bailey traded as a local merchant tailor in Williamstown from 1886 to 1926. He occupied premises in Parker Street, Nelson Place and Thompson Street. He was married with four daughters and two sons; one son was killed in WW1 in 1917. He sold his business in 1926 to H. Russ, a tailor from Ballarat and died in September 1926. Items like this coat hanger were usually offered free to advertise businesses.
