Physical description
Cast aluminium box with hinged lid. It has a short cotton webbing carry strap. There is a curved latch to hold lid shut, colour is drab alive. Inside the lid has a brass clip that used to hold information sheet(s). Inside the bottom of the box has a hard cardboard panel.
Inscriptions & markings
On front side of box is stencilled = “lamps signalling daylight, short range dismounted services”. “Box spare batteries PMG 1942”
