Tool - Soldering Iron

This soldering iron is a hand tool that would have been heated before use by a gas torch or fire and then used to melt solder, which is used to join two pieces of metal. Circa early 20th century.

Physical description

Soldering iron with a round wooden handle, iron shank and copper head with pointed tip. The handle has two round holes, possibly for hanging the tool from a hook.
