Significance
The former Bridge Hotel is architecturally and historically significant as an extremely rare survivor of the once many timber mid-nineteenth century hotels built in Victoria. It is now one of only a few known early timber hotels remaining in the state and the only known early two-storey timber hotel in metropolitan Melbourne.
