The Ballarat Community Bi-Centenary Committee was formed in 1987. All meetings were held at Ballarat Town Hall Sturt St and the Committee was disbanded after all related activities and meetings ended and after monies had been acquitted and all matters relating to events finalised in 1988.
Significance
The Ballarat Community Bi-Centenary Committee was formed in 1987 to co-ordinate activities for Australia's Bi-Centenary events in Ballarat and apply for project funding from government. This photo of the committee members and there partners was taken after the committee's final meeting and official disbanding in 1989 at a dinner celebrating the success of the year long Bi-Centenary celebrations at Ballarat.
