This is part of a collection donated by Aircraftman John Edwin Joseph Dolling (A119056) who served as a Linguist in Vietnam with RAAF No 2 Squadron from Jan 1971 to June 1971, and No.1 Operational Support Unit from Jun 71 to Jan 72. In his diary, he records: his fond attitudes towards the people of Vietnam; Civil Aid projects such an orphanage that the RAAF looked after; money and exchange rates; his work as a translator; National Heroes day Celebrations; scenery and daily life around Phan Rang (US Air Base) in Ninh Thuan Province.
