The bridge was designed by C. C. P. Wilson who was the Buninyong Shire engineer from 1908 - 1938 and served as Shire Secretary from 1925 -37.
This photograph shows an example of the engineering work of an important member of the Buninyong Shire and community in the early part of the 20th century
